We meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:45 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. in Room 207 of the Casa del Prado building of Balboa Park. Our year-round, self-paced "soft" audition process means you're welcome to visit any of our casual weekly rehearsals. Women and non-binary harmony singers are encouraged to visit. RSVP and our New Member Team will be standing by to greet and guide you every step of the way.

Chorus Leadership 


​The San Diego Chorus grows and thrives thanks in large part to multiple groups of  dedicated and talented members who also step up to serve the Chorus in leadership roles. From special projects to committees to multi-year appointments, you'll find lots of opportunities to grow and contribute. Members are eligible for organizational steering positions on the Director's Music Team and Chorus Management Team after one year of membership.

Perform and Compete Regionally and Internationally

Sing with the Award-Winning San Diego Chorus

The award-winning San Diego Chorus has multiple  large and small group performances throughout San Diego annually. As a member of Region 21 Golden West, we also compete regionally every year and internationally every other year.

Be Part of a Performance or Competitive Quartet

Members of the San Diego Chorus are also eligible to sing with a quartet. Quartets may be focused on practice, performance or competition. Competitive quartets must register with Sweet Adelines International and fulfill quartet requirements.

Music is, quite literally, my life! I have spent the last 45 years of my life as a singing member or as a musical director of the San Diego Chorus. It’s my musical family and I cannot imagine not having it with me for my remaining years.

I noticed something special on my first rehearsal - the commitment to excellence was evident. Something told me it was "for me," and the warm welcome I received once on the risers confirmed that. In the past year, I've learned answers to questions I never even knew to ask about voice quality, breathing, blending and such. It's been quite a musical education and I'm looking forward to competition.
