Pam MurrayTEAM COORDINATOR
Pam became a Sweet Adeline in 2016, joining the San Diego Chorus as a Baritone. She has been singing and performing in vocal ensembles and musical theater since the age of four, bringing a lifelong love of music and performance to the risers. Pam holds a degree from UC San Diego, with a major in Drama and a minor in Music (Vocal Performance). She also brings more than 30 years of corporate leadership experience, including extensive tenure with SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, where her work spanned global supply chain, procurement, contracting, and entertainment management. She now applies those skills in the service of Sweet Adelines, International. In addition to singing baritone with the chorus, Pam plays guitar and has sung and competed in multiple barbershop quartets, including So Noted and Offbeat. |

Kim Vaughn
INTERIM MUSICAL DIRECTOR
As the San Diego Chorus conducts its search for a new Musical Director, the organization is pleased to welcome former director, Sound Judge, and three-time Queen of Harmony Kim Vaughn as Interim Musical Director. Her leadership provides continuity and confidence during this transition.
Kim served as Musical Director of the San Diego Chorus from 1985–2014, leading the chorus to International Championships in 1978 and 2001. A Master Faculty Member of Sweet Adelines and Region 21 Hall of Fame inductee, she is a Master Director 700 and recipient of the 2014 SAI Lifetime Achievement Award. |
Diane ThornewellFINANCE COORDINATOR
Diane joined Sweet Adelines in 1993, singing lead and then bass in the Potomac Harmony Chorus in Arlington, VA. She worked as a Contracting Officer for the Department of the Navy and transferred to San Diego in 1997. Diane has served in chorus administration for over 18 of the 28 years she has been a Sweet Adelines Member. During that time, she has held the roles of Secretary, Finance Chair, and Membership Chair. |
Andrea ChertkowSECRETARY
Andrea joined the San Diego Chorus in 2019, singing bass. Her background has been in instrumental music, playing clarinet and piano while in school. Andrea graduated from UCSD with a major in Management Science. She recently retired from Intuit, where she was a Tax Analyst Programmer. She is now self-employed as an Enrolled Agent and Tax Preparer. Singing with the San Diego Chorus gives her a much-needed creative release from a life otherwise consumed with tax law and regulations. Andrea has previously served in chorus management as CMT Business Development Coordinator. |
Amy Overton-BuckBUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Amy joined the San Diego Chorus in 2016, singing baritone. Amy sang in high school and college choruses and musical theater. She majored in music (voice) in college for 3 years, then changed her major to Early Childhood Education. After a 36-year career as an elementary school teacher, Amy decided to enrich her retirement by singing again. This is her first time in chorus administration, and she has enjoyed serving both as CMT Secretary and Business Development Coordinator. |
Jennifer FrenchMEMBERSHIP COORDINATOR
Jennifer joined the San Diego Chorus in 2011 singing baritone. The musical excellence and education of Sweet Adelines, along with the competition, drew her to this amazing organization. Since then, she’s sung in several competitive quartets, including SoloVoce, and has competed on the International stage. As Membership Coordinator, Jennifer’s heart is for the members, new and not-so-new, to keep them engaged and musical. Jennifer has served on the CMT, the Director’s Musical Team, and many committees throughout her 15 years with the chorus. Jennifer is a Judicial Secretary for the San Diego Superior Court - serving 15 Family Law Judges in Downtown San Diego. |
Lisa OrdonezPERFORMANCE COORDINATOR
Lisa has been a member of the San Diego Chorus for more than ten years. She sings Lead and is a member of the Front Row. In her role as Performance Coordinator, Lisa ensures our singers have all the details they need every time we step on stage. From locations to set lists to costumes, Lisa manages to keep the chorus informed and organized, all without even breaking a sweat. Lisa is a plant ecologist by profession and a Sweet Adeline at heart. She adds valuable skill sets to the CMT, including project planning, data analysis, and technology. |
Laurie BokuniewiczEVENT COORDINATOR
Laurie attended her first rehearsal virtually in April 2020, and was the first singer to complete the entire audition process virtually. Growing up singing in chorus, performing in school and community musical theater, and with years of dance experience - it took a long time, but she's thrilled she finally got back to her love of music and performing. With her background in Marketing, Social Media, and Public Relations, she was quickly recruited into the marketing team - and manages the Facebook Live feed each Wednesday for members unable to attend rehearsal. |
