San Diego Chorus Is Now Booking 2025 Singing Valentines for February 14th!

The singers of the San Diego Chorus will be harmonizing throughout the San Diego region this Valentine's Day to deliver Singing Valentines. The offering is a favorite with audiences and singers alike, presenting a memorable, heartwarming way to send a musical greeting to loved ones.

Each Singing Gram includes a choice of two songs performed in four-part a cappella harmony. Delivery is available via  live performance  (which includes Valentine's Candy and a card!) or across the U.S. by phone. All Singing Valentine's include a personal message from the sender. Orders are processed securely online, making it easy to provide delivery details.

Senders may choose two songs from three timeless favorites: Let Me Call You Sweetheart,  It Had to Be You, and You Are So Beautiful. Although most senders prefer a live a cappella performance, phone delivery is a great alternative for loved ones who live further away.

"Singing Valentines give us a unique opportunity to share our music with the community," says San Diego Chorus Team Coordinator Pam Murray. "Our singers enjoy every moment and really have fun with it! We've been part of many special moments like proposals, anniversaries, and military families being reunited."

As a nonprofit performing arts organization, Murray says that Singing Grams are one of many efforts year-round to offset rising costs. "We're always looking for valuable ways to fundraise. which helps us continually raise the bar on the level of musical education, performance, and competition that we're known for,"

Singing Valentine Grams are delivered to a diverse range of locations. Among them are residences, businesses, restaurants, senior communities, schools, and events. The two-song mini-performances may be scheduled for delivery between 9 AM - 9 PM PST. 

It is recommended to book your Singing Gram early, as capacity and time slots are limited.

San Diego Chorus Offers Valentine's Day Singing Grams that Make It Easy to "Say It With a Song"

The singers of the San Diego Chorus will be out and about throughout the San Diego region this Valentine's Day delivering Singing Valentines. The offering is a favorite within the community, presenting a unique and heartwarming way to send love to partners, family members and friends.

Each Singing Gram includes a choice of two songs performed in four-part a cappella harmony. Delivery is available via live performance (which includes Valentine's Candy!) or by phone. All Singing Valentine's include a personal message from the sender. Orders are processed securely online and make it easy to provide details about each recipient.

Senders may select two songs from three classic numbers that are timeless favorites: Let Me Call You Sweetheart,  It Had to Be You and You Are My Sunshine. Although most senders opt for a live a cappella performance, phone delivery is a great alternative for loved ones who live further away.

"The San Diego Chorus has been delivering Singing Grams for many years throughout the San Diego region," says Business Development Coordinator Andrea Chertkow. "We've been part of some very special moments like proposals, anniversaries and military families being reunited. We've also been part of some fun and unexpected moments. That's one of many reasons our singers look forward to February 14th every year."

As a nonprofit performing arts organization, Chertkow notes that Singing Grams are one of many efforts year-round to help the San Diego Chorus fundraise.

"We're always looking for opportunities to offset costs, which helps us continue to provide an incredible caliber of musical education," she says. "It's one of the way we strive to keep competitive, 4-part  a cappella harmony accessible to singers and audiences alike.

In addition to Singing Valentine's, the Chorus is also Yum-Raising with See's Candies this month. Supporters can take advantage of sweet deals from the chocolatier and a percentage of every purchase benefits the Chorus. Orders must be placed by January 26th and will be delivered to your door in time for Valentine's Day.


The Chorus is currently ranked 5th worldwide and will compete on the International Stage in October of 2024. The event will be hosted in Kansas City, and features an adjudicated contest for both quartets and choruses. The San Diego Chorus, A two-time past International Champion Chorus, has their sights set on the top ten.

San Diego Chorus Sweetens Valentine’s Day with Virtual Singing Sweetheart Grams and See's Candy "Yum-Raiser"

San Diego, CA, January 25, 2021 – The San Diego Chorus is pleased to announce new singing Sweetheart Grams and an online See's Candy "Yum-Raiser." Continued social distancing measures have changed how many choose celebrate special occasions, but the San Diego Chorus of Sweet Adelines International has created yet another way to connect with loved ones safely with a song and some sweets.

The San Diego Chorus was recently featured on San Diego CBS News 8 segment, The Zevely Zone, discussing how the pandemic has affected them, their rehearsal and performance schedule, and how the need to continue fundraising efforts culminated with the creation of the original singing Grams.

"We’ve had such success with our Birthday and Holiday Grams that we decided to continue building on the idea. We see Singing Grams as a key part of ongoing fundraising efforts, especially given the current loss of our live performances," said Andrea Chertkow, Business Development Coordinator and San Diego Chorus member.

The chorus recently released new virtual Singing Grams, including "Let Me Call You Sweetheart," and “It Had to Be You.” This year “You Are My Sunshine” was also added, offering a familiar, upbeat message appropriate for family and friends. In past years, Singing Grams were delivered in person for special occasions like marriage proposals, anniversaries and Valentine’s Day, a tradition the Chorus plans to resume in the future.

"Virtual Singing Sweetheart Grams are the perfect gift for a special occasion, or to just remind someone that you are thinking about them during this unique time when we are physically apart. It’s a memorable way to stay connected," Andrea concluded.

Each Sweetheart Gram created by the San Diego Chorus is performed in 4-part, a cappella harmony and includes a personalized message from the sender. The Chorus is offering a special reduced price of $25 for orders placed by Feb. 9th. Customized Sweetheart Grams are created and delivered digitally via email and recipients view their video message online.

Continued social distancing measures have changed the way that many will celebrate this season, but the San Diego Chorus of Sweet Adelines International has created another memorable way to send warm wishes to friends and family near and far.

The San Diego Chorus was recently featured on San Diego CBS News 8 segment, The Zevely Zone, discussing how the pandemic has affected them, their rehearsal and performance schedule, and new opportunities to think about fundraising in creative ways.

"Our Singing Holiday Grams feature three seasonal winter, Christmas and Hanukkah songs performed virtually in four-part, a cappella harmony,” said Kathleen Hansen, Director of the San Diego Chorus.  “We’re going above and beyond to keep the music alive during this uncommon time. Singing Grams help by offsetting the revenue we’ve lost from in-person events, fundraisers and performances.”

Senders may choose from three seasonal songs: Jingle Bells, Silent Night or S'vivon. Each Singing Gram includes a personalized message from the sender, making them a unique way to send warm wishes to friends and family.

Order one for $59 or save when you bundle up with three for $149. Corporate Holiday Grams are also available for organizations interested in adding a branded touch and personal greeting to clients and colleagues. Singing Grams are delivered digitally via email. Recipients receive a link to view their Holiday Singing Gram message online. Allow a 5-day turnaround for personalization and be sure to order by December 18th for delivery by the 25th. The San Diego Chorus is already looking ahead to Singing Sweetheart Grams and also plans to release their 2020 holiday show, “Wish You Were Here,” virtually via YouTube and Facebook. The concert will premiere on Saturday, December 19th at 7 p.m. PT with an encore at 2 p.m. PT on Sunday, December 20th. The show will feature a festive collection of new holiday music from their virtual choir, seasonal quartets, favorite performances from holidays past and an online auction.
